Tool & Tack Holiday Pop Up, 12/19

Still finished up your holiday shopping? If you're in Austin, join us on Monday, 12/19 from 6-9pm for a holiday shopping party at Spartan. We'll be set up with our Tool & Tack Holiday gift boxes, sampling some salami from Salt & Time. Loretta Flower will also be there with wreaths and garlands to deck your halls, and of course there will be cocktails. There are always cocktails, thank god.

Meet the Makers Happy Hour

Today is our kick-off of Tool and Tack, with a happy hour event at Schatzelein (1713 S.1st st, near Annie st) from 4-6pm tonight. Swing by to meet and chat with Christine Fail, owner of Schatzelein, Matt Pierce of Wood & Faulk, and myself. There will be wine, cheese, and some sweet (not literally) pâtés from the talented Jackie of Pâté Letelier. Hope to see you there!!

Scenes from Bows+Arrows

 

This weekend we had an amazing time at the Bows+Arrows Pop Up shop. After a few days away in Oakland, it was nice to come home to a Canoe event filled with friends new and old. The night also ended with drinks at Justine's, a favorite late night spot, so I went to bed happy.

We launched our new Fall collection of Canoe key chains, which will be up on the online shop shortly. Stay tuned to more sneak peeks this week and next of all the new products we'll be launching at Tool and Tack, which is just around the corner now (Saturday, 10/15). In prep for the big day, we visited Gray Duck Gallery to discuss details and meet with our lovely florist, Mary Kathryn of Loretta Flower, and our photographer, Joe Gomez. Here's a look at our raw space--wait til you see what we have in store! I love scheming about merchandising and building displays with other creatives.
